As the recount began for the Election of 2000, Florida would enter the national headlines. County by county, each vote was checked to confirm the correct totals. On Election Night, 2000, the final call came down to the decision of one state: Florida. What would follow would be the most infamous recount in American history. In 1879, the town of Orlando was dissolved, four years after it was formed. A year later, the train came to town.
