The Alphabet slayings, also referred to as the Dual Initial slayings, remain an unresolved sequence of child homicides that took place from 1971 to 1973 in Rochester, New York. These tragic incidents involved three young girls, aged ten or eleven, whose last name coincided with the first letter of their given name. Each victim suffered from both sexual assault and murder, either through manual or ligature strangulation, before their lifeless bodies were callously abandoned in or around a nearby town or village whose name shared the same initial as the victim's name. This is their story.
