Three-Inning Save: Josue De Paula says hello
Josue De Paula, the Dodgers’ top prospect, has impressed in his big league debut, commanding the strike zone since getting promoted directly from Double-A Tulsa.
De Paula got a runway of playing time with Shohei Ohtani placed on the injured list with right biceps inflammation, opening up designated hitter. We look back at Ohtani’s timeline of his slump since mid-August, the attempts to rest him and avoid the IL proving futile, plus how the Dodgers deferring to Ohtani may have exacerbated the situation.
Plus, updates on the pitching scramble of the final two weeks, Emmet Sheehan the victim of the fresh arm express, Edgardo Henriquez getting injured, Kris Bubic due back soon and Edwin Díaz very much not. Plus timing on when Roki Sasaki might return.
