Episode 9 is essentially a deep dive into Uncle Naseem's secret life. We see him in a completely different light --isolated, lonely, and torn with his identity. We find out that he has been intimate with multiple men-- both in his past and in his present, and the internal struggle and frustration this causes him. Episode 10, the final episode of the season, revolves around Ramy and his imminent marriage. Things get dicey when his cousin he had a complicated relationship with comes to visit from Egypt. Ramy's feelings for her resurface and he cheats on his soon to be wife the night before their wedding. When he confesses this to his wife on their wedding night after she loses her virginity to him, things take an interesting turn the next morning. Her father, the sheikh, visits. The trust and relationship have been entirely severed. Ramy has hit rock bottom. Will he ever find his way? Hopefully, we will get another season so our questions will be answered. Episode 5 brought us not only the 11 remaining Cheftestants, but also their nearest and dearest. This episode was Family Feud meets the Apprentice. Which means, much like Quarantine, everyone got on everyone else’s nerves and the family “challenges” were plentiful. Our Cheftestants were also challenged to show off their R+D and marketing skills! When tasked with creating a food “product” and slinging it at the local mall, some Chefs sold out and some chefs had to hold a 50% off Friends and Family sale. And then dump the leftovers at Nordstrom Rack. Buckle up - and if you’re Leann’s mom - please sit down and drink some water. You’re stressing me out. Things are HEATING UP in Top Chef All Stars with our (non-bakers) Dozen - that’s right, 12 cheftestants are left to chop and sauté their hearts out in this tasty competition. After a colorful quickfire featuring a human rainbow named Kelly Clarkson, the chefs do what all bougie Angelenos do on a Sunday morning (OURSELVES INCLUDED) and hit the Santa Monica Farmers Market. Their tasked with rustling up a vegetarian feast for some discerning normies - oh and our beloved Head Judges. Tom and his Whitewalker eyes are DISPLEASED with some chefs' choices, while Padma has an issue with the purple gnocci.
