Ball hockey community rallies to save rink

We talk with Josh Lauzus from PDX Ball Hockey to discuss the growth of ball hockey in the Pacific Northwest! Tune in to hear about plans of growing a youth program and how Josh learned the game while growing up in Pennsylvania.

The United Women's Ball Hockey Foundation will be hosting their Springfest Tournament in Tiverton, Rhode Island the weekend of April 27th 2024! Springfest is one of the biggest women's tournament in the country with some of the most skilled women displaying their hockey skills! Join the Street Hockey Life as we check in with Alessandra Glista and Alexis Tarantino on all things Springfest!

We are joined by Ashley Mouzzon! Ashley is the founder of Ball Hockey Boot Camp! Listen in as she discusses her plans to help grow the game of women’s ball hockey and help more people of color enjoy the game!

Brett Holman-Brett Holman is a long time ball hockey player from the Northeast. Brett grew up playing in the Leominster system and has become a premier ball hockey player, currently playing for the Boston Saints and is co-owner of the East Coast Shamrocks, which recently won the Chetty Cup in California. This coming spring Brett will be playing for the Boston Blackhawks in Tier 1 of NBHL Massachusetts. Brett has also competed for the U23 US National Team in 2023. Brett is a great person and has a tremendous amount of knowledge of the game. 

We are joined by Alexis Tarantino and Kate Van Druff to discuss the rebuilding of a rink that was almost lost to become a pickleball court. Listen in as youth players took action to save the rink and how the ball hockey community is rallying to build this rink back better! A great story all around!
