The Gorge" is a surprisingly great action movie that no one will ever watch. Despite being directed by Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange, The Black Phone), starring Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit, Furiosa) and Trent Reznor composing the score, this film has been completely buried by the endless flood of streaming content. With insane action, fun characters, and a solid story, this would have been a must-watch blockbuster about 20 years ago—but now barely anyone even knows it exists. Why? Because streaming platforms don’t care. If a movie isn’t part of an established franchise, it gets dumped with zero promotion. This is exactly what’s wrong with modern Hollywood.
