328: Breaking free from perfectionism and the mother wound
I’m done with the polished, perfectly packaged version of me.
For years, I edited, scripted, and performed online the way I was taught growing up – chasing perfection and hiding the messy, wrong parts of myself.
This week, while diving into the mother wound in my Breath of Bliss group, I had a revelation:
- The perfectionism I inherited made me allergic to inauthenticity.
- It bled into my podcast, my social media, even how I let you see me.
- It kept me hiding parts of my life that are actually beautiful and powerful.
So here’s the truth:
- I’m a damn good parent. Did you know my 17-year-old has a BBC documentary premiering this November?
- I’ve been working weekends pedicabbing at football games and concerts – and learning radical lessons about holding firm to my value.
- I just ripped up my entire business plan through 2026 to follow what feels truly expansive: mentoring one woman for a whole year, deeply and intimately.
No more pretending, no more edits. Just the unfiltered me, showing up messy, weird, and wholehearted.
