The Fargo North Dakota graduate and former professional, now 42, qualified for the United States Amateur Golf Tournament. Roger Maris All-Star week begins Monday and goes through Friday, which is a big reason why the Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament is in its 42nd year. A partnership with Sanford Health five years ago changed the direction of the event that is more about the success of the Maris Cancer Center than drives and putts. Roger Maris Jr. and Joel Vettel of Sanford are back for another year of golf radio commentary. Fargo Davies graduate Rose Solberg is less than half the age of the Maris tourney.
