Key Volitional Decisions (2021)

God can use you despite your failures. Are you in prison because you committed some atrocity such as murder and you think God can’t forgive you? God can and does. Jesus Christ died for all our sins. He freed us from the penalty of sin. Sin leaves scars and sometimes more problems. The only way to handle the problem of sin is to use rebound. Name your sin to God the Father and He will forgive you every time. Satan wants you to wallow in guilt. Guilt is a sin. The biggest mistake in the guilt pit is you go back and dig up your past failures. Rebound removes the guilt. God wants you to rebound, advance spiritually and not look back. “Forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil 3:13-14). God’s peace is available to anyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Rom 10:13). You can have peace with God because you are free of His judgment. Peace with God comes from accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior.  “My peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled. Do not be afraid” (John 14:27-28). The peace of God and objective optimism come from staying filled with the Holy Spirit, learning God’s Word and having a relaxed mental attitude by using the faith-rest drill. There is no greater peace for a Christian than to know you are exactly in the middle of the will of God fulfilling His plan for your life. God wants you to be an Agent of His Peace. You can be an agent of peace by growing to spiritual maturity and being a messenger of God. “You are the salt of the earth. Prolonged carnality will cause your heart (your mind) to be scarred over and become calloused and hardened. “Having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them because of the blindness of their heart” (Eph 4:17-20). The Word of God can’t be learned and stored in your soul without the filling and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. God’s Word reveals God’s plan. “The Word of the Lord endures forever” (1 Pet 1:25). It is alive, powerful, sharp and discerners of thoughts and intents of the heart. Your volition guards the gate of your soul, the mentality of your soul. If you want to be a spiritually mature believer, it requires a series of volitional decisions every day. You made the decision to believe in Christ. Now you must make the decision to handle personal sin as soon as it occurs using rebound (1 John 1:9). Then make the decision to consistently learn the Word of God and grow in grace and knowledge. You must be willing to stand boldly and proclaim Christ. “Always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you” (1 Pet 3:5). You must decide to keep your priorities straight and finish the race. “I fought a good fight, I finished the course, I kept the faith” (2 Tim 4:7). If America is destroyed it will be our fault because we did not advance our spiritual lives. We did not do our part which is to grow to spiritual maturity and be a member of the pivot of our nation. What Americans are thinking in their souls, not who’s running the country, determines the course of our nation. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).  The blame is twofold: the failure of pastors to teach accurately the mechanics of salvation and the spiritual life and the failure of Christians to be the light and the salt of this nation. Mature believers preserve the nation through their invisible and historical impact and are light re-presenting Jesus Christ in a dark world. Will you do your part so God will deliver America? You can’t afford to be trapped in Satan’s world, the cosmos diabolicus. The inevitable consequence of man getting involved in Satan’s cosmic system is chaos. Satan doesn’t have the power nor the ability to control the inhabitants of the earth. Man can’t solve problems using human solutions. Jesus Christ controls history. Don’t worry. Live with a relaxed mental attitude (RMA), Free of stress—it’s a great way to live. “No weapon formed against you will prosper … This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord” (Is 54:17). Fear is a sin. Fear is a symptom of assuming an unassigned responsibility. “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You” (Ps 56:3). Whenever you have a Conflict, it calls for Courage. Living with an RMA produces Confidence in God’s provisions and protection and leads to Contentment and great Capacity for life. Having an RMA, you can think under pressure. You can recall relevant Biblical principles and apply them to your situation. Living with an RMA gives you harmony. The Royal Family Honor Code is a system of spiritual integrity mandated by God. It centers around truth and integrity. God gives you the truth and He expects you to learn it and live a life of integrity. “Each one of you should speak the truth with his fellow believers since we are members one of another” (Eph 4:25). We are a team, the family of God. We’re not allowed to malign or criticize each other. The Lord Jesus Christ is the basis for the honor code. He lived it and He left it for us to learn and use.
