On this Tuesday, Earl will welcome Curtis Marshall and Ann Seitz from the Red Cross to share their experiences and the commitment they have demonstrated in joining the organization. The Red Cross is crucial in disaster response, supplying essential resources to those in need, providing shelter for the homeless, and fostering community development. The organization is currently seeking volunteers in regions where there is a perceived bias regarding assistance. A significant challenge lies in encouraging more African Americans to volunteer within Black communities, where there is a lack of trust towards individuals from other racial backgrounds. The Red Cross is the largest supplier in donating blood saving lives all across the world. Shockingly 90% of the disasters in the state of Wisconsin are in Milwaukee County.
