Med School & Shattering Stereotypes (ft. Karishma Mistry)
Are you a med school aspirant or current student? Being a doctor is a very noble job but the path to get there is not easy - in this episode, I talk with Karishma Mistry, a third-year medical student at St. George’s University who is currently doing her rotations in Brooklyn, New York. We talk about Karishma's journey into Med School, how being a transplant recipient and coming from a family of doctors inspired her to take this path. We also talk about the stigmas associated with going to Med School in the Caribbean and how these stereotypes are NOT true - the geographic location of the school does not make you any less of a doctor.
