When I first started learning Tarot, I thought becoming a good reader meant learning all 78 cards and recalling the right meaning at the right time. But knowing a card's meaning and knowing how to read it are not the same thing. A definition can tell you what the Four of Pentacles traditionally represents. A skilled reader can recognize why it has appeared for this person, in this situation, right now. That's where knowledge becomes insight. As Tarot information becomes instantly available to everyone, card meanings will remain the foundation. But your ability to bring intuition, context and discernment to those meanings is what will set you apart.
