And when Cindy comes into the room, the eyes in the portrait are open wider than usual, looking horrified, as if she cannot believe this is happening again. There is a story about Marilyn that feels relevant here. She was once walking down a street in New York City completely unrecognized, and a friend asked if she was sure nobody knew who she was. Marilyn said, "Do you want to see her?" And then she shifted. Something in her posture changed, and within moments people were stopping and crowding around her.
