The Taringa trio dive back into grammar land, having a wānanga about the particle "ai", this time giving examples of how it can be used with the agent-emphatic possessives "Nā, Nāu and Nāku".

In this episode we’re joined by Tūrei Peeke, who shares kōrero about Ngāti Pāoa — their connections, whakapapa, and relationships with neighbouring iwi. We touch on the landscapes and marae that shape the rohe, and the whakataukī that carries their values forward.  

He aha te Ariki? He aha oti te whare Ariki?  What is an ariki what is a whare ariki? How did our tūpuna deem a bloodline to be aristocratic house of their hapū, iwi or waka? The trio delve into some of the examples left in our histories and how it informs some of the remaining whare ariki of today. The team are surprised with special gifts from one of their listeners.
