37. “I do, do you?”

Today we talk about how to know and address your “bitch” voice in your head as Andy Frisella calls it.  We all have that voice in our head that questions whether or not we do something we know we should or want to.  Listen up for our thoughts and some tools we personally use to deal with it.

Y’all know the news is wild, but who do you think can come up with the weirdest news story?  Sometimes ya just gotta laugh at the reality that some people are just dumb. Not everything needs to be about politics or I’m fact serious. Take a stroll with us and even enjoy as we go through some Florida man stories at the end. 

Going a little rogue and different change of pace today. We are both sick of not feeling like we can talk about Covid and what happened since 2020 and what our “new normal” looks like.  We discuss the changes we see now and how we feel about them. To us it feels like some taboo topic and something we all went through shouldn’t be so weird to discuss. So we’re talking about it now. Buckle up.

Seriously, there’s just times in your life where everyone is growing up and getting married. Come join us in talking all things weddings. Like is it cool to not have an open bar? How about not inviting kids? For two unmarried gals we sure have a lot of opinions! Lastly, congrats to McKayla and Mike! Wonderful wedding and thanks for inspiring this podcast.

What is your response when someone you love says, “ we need to talk… “ Well maybe it’s not that dramatic but if you’re like most people and you feel a conflict is a brewing you may get a little nervous or straight up try to avoid it entirely. Maybe you find yourself throwing a tantrum and lashing out as a defense mechanism because you feel attacked. Why is conflict and confronting others about things that matter so difficult? When is the right time to bring something up versus hey maybe dealing with it on your own this time. Today we talk about our views on confrontations with others and what we like to do about it.

When is it okay to quit? For different reasons it’s been trending to stop doing something you said you would for “self love” or “respect” or “staying true to yourself”. How do you know if it’s a challenge to stick through or if it’s time to move on?  Today we talk about why it’s important to stick to your word and do what you say. We are in a time of instant gratification and many new options constantly revolving into our lives, why not stick it out? Because it’s hard. Nobody wants to choose the harder path. We do, find out why.

Today we talk about our favorite past time and indulgence, coffee.  We went to Galveston this past weekend to show support for an amazing veterans organization, Irreverent Warriors. This charity supports building a community for veterans to prevent veteran suicide. Statistically speaking, it is around 22 per day that lose their life to suicide. We also discuss some tricks and tips from your favorite roaster of Hard Charger coffee. Who doesn’t need to know more practical truths, and myths about your favorite drink?
