An anesthesiologist on trial for attempted murder took the stand in his own defense Thursday. 40-year-old Stephen Brown was denied bail today after police say he killed his wife and fled the scene. 38-year-old Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was found dead in her home after a friend asked police for a wellness check.
