Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are here to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Dora the Explorer.Dora the Explorer is an animated children’s show created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes, and Eric Weiner. The series premiered on August 14, 2000 on Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. block. The series ran for 177 episodes. The show officially ended in 2019, after a multi-year hiatus.The series centers on a 7-year-old Latina girl named Dora (Kathleen Herles, Caitlin Sanchez, Fátima Ptacek) and her talking monkey friend Boots (Harrison Chad, Regan Mizrahi, Koda Gursoy). Dora and Boots travel wide and far, teaching viewers Spanish along the way. The duo is regularly confronted by Swiper (Marc Weiner), a mischievous fox that tries to hide their items.Dora the Explorer has grown into a multimedia franchise with shows, movies, and games. In other countries, Dora is often dubbed to teach viewers English. Dora, the latest show, is streaming on Paramount+.
