This week Michelle talks to Megan Garcia, a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and expert in baby nutrition. In this episode we talked about placenta consumption postpartum. She speaks to the properties of the placenta from a TCM perspective, and expresses concerns with how the hormones in the placenta can interfere with hormones needed for breastfeeding. I share about my positive experience consuming my placenta, and I left this conversation understanding that a lot better.
