Episode 230: We're Back!

It's the final weekend of the English season and there are two big games yet to happen in Tier 1 & 2: Hampshire v The Blaze and Middlesex v Glamorgan

We're back! After the longest break we've ever taken, we've returned with Polly in Denmark and Richard back in England. A lot has happened over the past six weeks so we mainly look ahead to the County Cup Finals as well as the England Ireland ODI series. We're so glad to be back, it may take a few weeks to properly get in the rhythm again but hopefully you'll enjoy hearing us every Friday

T20 Blast Finals day was this Friday and the Blaze were victorious. We are joined by Surrey & Scotland's Priyanaz Chatterji to speak about her cricket journey, the T20 World Cup and more.As we mentioned, we're taking a break to go on holiday and while Polly moves but we will be back in late August ahead of the Ireland series.

India got the Test match wrapped up before lunch as England failed to survive the first session of the final day. An attendance record was broken and Sophie Ecclestone got her first England half century. We sat by the Nursery Ground to reflect on the last four days.

Two guards of honour and two new names on the Lord's honours board as Tammy Beaumont and Heather Knight left the field for the final time and Yastikaa Bhatia and Sophie Ecclestone impressed on day three.

Kranti Gaud became the first women to get on the honours board in a Test match at Lord's as England had a poor day with bat and ball on day two of the Test match. Heather Knight also announced her retirement mid Test match...

The daily podcasts didn't stay away for long! England women are playing their first Test match at Lord's and we had the pleasure of witnessing the first day. Debuts for Alice Capsey and Mady Villiers as well as Sophie Ecclestone becoming the leading wicket taker of all time for England women; there's plenty to speak about from day one.

Less than a week post World Cup and we're back because a historic Test match at Lord's is about to start. But first, we're delighted to be joined by Hannah Landheer, bowler for the Netherlands. It was brilliant to hear about Hannah's tournament experience as well as what's next for the Netherlands.

Australia are T20 World Cup Champions...again. They're back to winning ways despite the doubters and they eased to a win at Lord's against England in the final.We've had an amazing few weeks covering the tournament. This is the last of the daily podcasts but we will be back on Friday to reflect on the tournament as a whole.
