LAST DAY TO PREORDER: a signed copy of With Foundation https://withfoundationbook.com Grab a beer and join us tonight as we kick off our series on the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murders! Starting in early 1972, young women and girls around Santa Rosa, California started disappearing, most of them last seen hitchhiking, and turning up dead along back roads out in Sonoma County. In Part 1, we'll go through each of them in order, starting with two middle school girls who left a skating rink one night and never made it home. Then we'll get into the investigators who couldn't agree on whether they were looking for one killer or more than one. https://www.necronomipod.com https://www.patreon.com/necronomipod Sponsored by Boll & Branch: https://www.bollandbranch.com/necro Sponsored by BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.com/necro Learn more about your ad choices. LAST WEEK TO PREORDER: https://withfoundationbook.com Grab a beer and join us tonight as we cover Ronald Clark O'Bryan, the Candy Man! So tonight we'll walk through that night, the investigation into who handed it out, and how this one case is the reason parents have been checking their kids' candy ever since. https://www.necronomipod.com https://www.patreon.com/necronomipod Sponsored by BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.com/necro Learn more about your ad choices. Grab a beer and join us tonight for our 500th episode! This isn't a full episode and it isn't really an Overtime, just the three of us hanging out and looking back on seven years of doing this. We dig up some old clips from those first three episodes we dropped all at once, plus the 2019 announcment of our Patreon, and talk about how much the show has changed since we were recording in a tiny room with no carpet. We also get into whether any of our opinions have changed over the years, an update on Mike's Necronomipod tattoo, and what the next 500 might look like. Thank you all for listening! Here's to 500 more! Preorder a signed copy of With Foundation: https://withfoundationbook.com https://www.necronomipod.com https://www.patreon.com/necromomipod Learn more about your ad choices. Grab a beer and join us tonight as we cover the Peter Bergmann case! In June of 2009, a man checked into a hotel in Sligo, Ireland under the name Peter Bergmann, gave an address in Vienna that didn't exist, and paid for everything in cash. Over the next few days he kept leaving the hotel with a purple bag full of stuff and coming back with it empty. Then on the morning of June 16th, he was found dead on a beach outside of town, with every label cut out of his clothes. So tonight we'll get into the days leading up to it, what the autopsy found, and why seventeen years later nobody knows who he was.
