Another trip around the sun. Another year older. And hopefully, a little wiser.
Every year around my birthday, I take some time to reflect on what I've learned, what I've gotten wrong, and how my thinking has changed.
At 48, I'm realizing that some of the things I spent years chasing aren't nearly as important as I thought. And some of the things I used to take for granted have become the most valuable parts of my life.
In this episode of LifeBlood, I'm sharing 15 lessons about money, attention, aging, family, freedom, responsibility, technology, and what it means to live a meaningful life.
We'll explore why more isn't necessarily better, why attention may be our most valuable resource, why everything costs and compounds, and why becoming useful matters more than being impressive.
I'm also talking about something that's becoming increasingly clear to me: the purpose of life may be to become increasingly capable of meaningful contribution.
At 28, I wanted to prove myself. At 38, I wanted to build something. At 48, I want to make sure what I'm building matters.
Here's to another year of learning, growing, and becoming who we're capable of becoming.
