Cancer Careers Ep 15 - Dr. Nathalie Levasseur

In collaboration with ROESCG, we introduce a new series, Cancer Careers! Today we're joined by Dr. Laura Dawson, a staff Radiation Oncologist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and the Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Toronto. She takes us through her responsibilities as Chair, introduces the Palliative Radiotherapy and Oligometastases Program (PROP) at Princess Margaret, and explains the differences between various academic positions.

In collaboration with ROESCG, we introduce a new series, Cancer Careers! Today we're joined by Dr. Hannah Carolan, a Radiation Oncologist at BC Cancer in Vancouver who specializes in lung and breast cancers, and has a strong focus on inclusive and supportive learning environments.

In collaboration with ROESCG, we introduce a new series, Cancer Careers! Today, we’re joined by Dr. Natalie Levasseur, a Medical Oncologist at BC Cancer and Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Levasseur specializes in breast cancer oncology and is the current chair of the Provincial Breast Tumor Group in BC, the co-lead of the Breast Cancer Clinical Trials Unit in Vancouver, and serves on the BC Personalized Oncogenomics Steering Committee.

In collaboration with ROESCG, we introduce a new series, Cancer Careers! Today we’re joined by Dr. Shaun Loewen, a Radiation Oncologist at the Arthur JE Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre and a clinical associate professor with the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine. He takes us through the applications of Radiation Oncology in neurological and gastrointestinal cancers, the workplace dynamic at the Arthur JE Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre, and workforce projections in Radiation Oncology. 

In collaboration with ROESCG, we introduce a new series, Cancer Careers! Today we're joined by Dr. Justin Oh, a Radiation Oncologist at BC Cancer in Vancouver who specializes in CNS and pediatric cancers, and has a strong research interest in population-based outcomes.

In collaboration with ROESCG, we introduce a new series, Cancer Careers! Today, we’re joined by Dr. Renata Peixoto, an oncology specialist based in Vancouver and Brazil, with expertise in gastrointestinal cancers, and a strong focus on advancing patient-centered care and research.

Today we’re joined by Dr. Derek Tsang, a Radiation Oncologist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Program Director of the Radiation Oncology Residency Program at the University of Toronto. He takes us through the differences in treating children and adults with brain tumours, how he maintains emotional resilience, and upcoming innovations in Radiation Oncology. 

In collaboration with ROESCG, we introduce a new series, Cancer Careers! Today, we’re joined by Dr. Chloe Lim, a 5th-year Medical Oncology Co-Lead Resident at the University of British Columbia. She takes us through how she co-founded the Learn Oncology podcast (the one you’re listening to right now!), as well as her journey to Medical Oncology.

He takes us through his love for GI oncology, his prior experience as past program director, and multiple hats that he wears outside from his clinical role as medical oncologist. We are excited to introduce a new series in the Learn Oncology podcast called Pathways in Oncology. This series will illustrate how patients "flow" through our healthcare system, including the different healthcare providers they might interact with and challenges they might experience.
