SpaceX is in prime position to disrupt Apple and the entire smartphone industry and launch Starphone. A satellite based device that would remove social media and focus on AI and communication. Think no doomscrolling but just calling, texting, maps (with Robotaxi) and X payments plus grok. It would be the final phone before Neuralink takes off. I think SpaceX should do it and put an end to social media doomscrolling what about you? Then they will own the interface to communicate to AI with? One of the biggest pieces of news on Tesla's conference call was an update on Optimus. Tesla is building a 1M unit per year factory in Fremont, California that is set to start production in July or August of this year. They are also building a 10M unit production line in Austin that is set to begin production next summer! Things are heating up! They are keeping the prototypes secret because of copy cats, but one thing is forsure Optimus is making crazy progress and will be coming soon. The USA is almost $39T in debt, and are financial situation seems to be getting worse by the day. One idea I keep coming back to is a Sovereign Wealth Fund. Something that countries like Norway, China, UAE & Singapore have created and utilized as a tremendous $1T+ benefit to citizens. There are a ton of reasons this is super complicated and may never happen. It's political and could easily be ruined by short-term thinking, and we would need capital to fund it (even though we are operating at a deficit). But something about the idea of America being incentivized to own its own success seems like it has massive potential. What are your thoughts? It was a big week for Tesla's Robotaxi network as they expanded to 26 Unsupervised vehicles across Texas (Austin, Dallas, Houston). This comes with the news that the Cybercab has officially entered production as of last week. With more and more of these being spotted in the wild and rolling off the production line, it's only a matter of time before we see Cybercab's deployed on the Robotaxi network. Tesla reported 1.28M active FSD subscriptions at the end of Q1 2026. At $99/month that's equivalent to $1.5B in annual revenue. That's right, Tesla already has a $1.5B / year AI business that is almost 100% profit (pure software) and it's growing like crazy. Subscriptions were up 51% year over year in Q1 and accelerating. With EU approval in the Netherlands paving the way for Europe and upcoming FSD approval in China get ready for this FSD subscriptions number to keep BOOOMING. Tesla's Cybercab has officially started production. This comes just as the Robotaxi business has expanded to Houston and Dallas (including unsupervised). Tesla's Robotaxi business did ~1M paid miles in Q1, doubling from Q4 25, and looks like it's about to go exponential as new cities ramp and vehicles expand. This is super exciting and I believe we are on the cusp of a massive acceleration of Tesla's Robotaxi business. Many investors are worried about Elon's comments on the conference call, insinuating a slow rollout, but brick by brick Tesla continues to lay the foundation for one of the largest businesses of all-time. SpaceX announced a $10B partnership with Cursor AI, and a $60B option to buy the company outright. This caught a ton of people by surprise (including myself) when it was announced. But upon further investigation, this could end up bring a brilliant move. SpaceX / XAI gets to use the excess compute of it's Colossus datacenter and immediately is in the race with Anthropic's Claude (and even OpenAI's CODEX) for the best AI coding agent. Coming just months before the SpaceX IPO, this could boost excitement around the deal, if SpaceX/XAI has a new enterprise coding AI revenue stream that's exploding ... Reports indicate Cursor is already at a $2B revenue run-rate and growing rapidly. That would be ~10% of SpaceX's revenue, and could significantly accelerate revenue growth projections. Tesla Q1 2026 earnings are hot off the press, and the biggest announcement wasn't in the results but on the conference call. Elon Musk and Tesla are now upping CAPEX guidance to $25B in 2026! That's right, they want to spend $25BILLION this year on investments on AI and robotics. This means they will be losing free cash flow and could mean they will have to raise more capital in the future.
