A Utah jury of 8 took less than 3 hours to find 35 year old mom of three, Kouri Richins guilty of fatally poisoning her husband Eric with a fentanyl spiked Moscow mule.   Closing arguments and jury instructions took most of the day, so it was a surprise when they continued to deliberate into the evening to come back with guilty verdicts on all counts.  RIchins’ reaction was palpable as the judge read the the verdicts aloud, her head fell and she never looked up again.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Kouri RIchins’ defense team put on a fiery closing argument to jurors, insisting the prosecution did not prove Richins purchased Fentanyl and not did prove she gave it to her husband.  The prosecution ended its rebuttal with this final, powerful command: “See through her facade, check her ambition, and do not let her get away with murder.“See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The prosecution put on an extremely effective closing today, giving a detailed timeline of what Kouri did NOT do to try and save her husband’s life and appealed to the jury’s common sense for why and how they claim Kouri poisoned her husband. As soon as the prosecution finished, the defense called for a mistrial. The judge denied that motion but did agree to re-instruct the jury after prosecutors compared RIchins to a black widow and  discussed the facial expressions she was making throughout the trial. The speculation over whether Zendaya has secretly married fiancé Tom Holland has reached a fever pitch after the Oscar’s ceremony. First, even though she didn’t walk the red carpet, her stylist did… you know, the one who spilled the beans on her alleged secret wedding earlier this month. The movies were long, so we shouldn't be surprised that the show was long too!  It took 3hrs and 40mins to get to the end of what was a night  of historic, surprising, touching, funny, and awkward moments.  There was even a tie last night.  The highlights for Amy and T.J.:  Michael B's win, an incredible In Memoriam segment that included Barbara Streisand, a "Golden" performance, and a winner's no-show. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
