If you want to be able to sell a product to someone, it doesn't matter what product that is or who you're selling it to. You need to be able to actively qualify them as the person who can actually buy or disqualify them and get them out of your pipeline so that you can get people that can buy in.

What is really the big issue with sales for a lot of salespeople, especially the inexperienced salespeople they go in and every time they get a prospect in their pipeline, it stays in their pipeline, they don't want to get rid of it. Because it looks like they are filling their pipeline, and they aren't good at disqualifying them.

That initial meeting is to disqualify them and get them out of our life as completely as, or as quickly as possible. So that if they aren't the right ones, we aren't wasting time on them.
