In 2022, hip hop artist and author Psalm-One spoke to us about the abuse and mistreatment she endured at the hands of Rhymesayers Entertainment, including artists on the label. This experience led her to write the book Her Word Is Bond: Navigating Hip Hop and Relationships In A Culture of Misogyny. It was recently announced that Atmosphere, a Rhymesayers Entertainment artist will be headlining the Minneapolis State Fair, which was attended by almost 2 million people in the summer of 2024. We are re-issuing this episode as a reminder that many artists are able to continue their careers without consequence or accountability, regardless of allegations.
