Dr. Phan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Temple University and subsequently earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.

He completed his residency training at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville North Carolina and was a member of the inaugural class.  He is currently a UT Health San Antonio Amputation Prevention and Research Fellow. His professional interest includes revisional foot and ankle surgery, utilization of external fixation, orthoplastic reconstruction and Charcot foot and ankle management.
