On this episode of DayBreak, we're bouncing back from an autoimmune disease, over 150lbs of weight gain and near death to founding a fitness business, and now taking on a personal challenge of becoming a Canadian National Powerlifting Champion. That's the story of Zac Spinosa who was athlete of the year in high school and yet by the time the award ceremony came around, Zac was soo debilitated by a sudden emergence of rheumatoid arthritis that he needed help to walk on stage to receive his award.

At 16, arthritis and associated weight gain can me mentally destructive and paralyzing. Yet Zac's story is one of the power of community in healing, motivating and moving people forward in the face of setback after setback. It's also a lesson in the value of being fit whatever your age, embracing your curiosity and the need for having a personal challenge regularly to keep us going through the tough as well as mundane times.

So join us this week in conversation with Zac Spinosa.
