'Quarter Pipe Dreams' starring Griffin Gluck, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Rachelle Vinberg, and Timothy Simons
Unable to leave the quarantine of their home, two bickering brothers finally agree on something… turning their house into a makeshift skatepark.
‘Quarter Pipe Dreams’ was written by Olive McGowen (from episode 10, Relocation) and stars Griffin Gluck (Big Time Adolescence), Jeremy Ray Taylor (IT), Timothy Simons (VEEP) with narration by pro-skater Rachelle Vinberg (Betty on HBO, Skate Kitchen) and a cameo by Day by Day friend Ahna O’Reilly (The Help).
On today’s episode, we’re highlighting JUNIOR HIGH, a non-profit dedicated to showcasing the artistic pursuits of marginalized voices. Their space, publication, podcast, and other ventures function on principles of collective organizing, radical empathy, and anti-oppression. For anyone who’s worked with them, they’ll agree it almost doesn’t feel real. But it is, and they need our help. You can donate to their GoFundMe at www.juniorhighla.com/donate.
Day by Day is created and produced by Adam Faze and Jamie Dolan with sound mixing and design by Becket Cerny. This episode featured a hell of an original score by Calum Watson and Jackson Lewis with Ben Scharf on the drums. Additional character voicing was provided by Luc Pogue. Special thanks go out to Jennifer Millar, Rebecca Wyzan, Leslie Rice, and Ahna O’Reilly for making this episode come together.
