“You can choose to lead your life beyond the predicament you’re in. You can choose to see the light.” This was the advice that jewelry designer Lia Valencia’s mother gave her. At the time, they were living a difficult life in Philadelphia, and Lia was headed down a negative path. However, Lia credits her mother's words for unlocking her life, letting her natural light shine through, and inspiring her to start her joyful jewelry brand, Valencia Key.
Lia’s mother also taught her that if you choose something, you should see it through. Lia took this advice to heart through her every endeavor, propelling her to earn a Master's in Education and her Cosmetology Instructor License. Realizing her goal of styling for QVC, Lia spent five years making this dream a reality. There, she met the incredible dream makers who changed her life and gave her the courage to become the designer she is today. Although not all of Lia’s accomplishments have served her long-term, she understands the power of learning who you are and that even if your progress is slow, positive energy will get you there.
