This week we’re diving deep into the world of beauty—starting with Doja Cat’s viral “is it lipstick or is it cake?” VMAs moment. Spoiler: it was a fully edible chocolate lipstick crafted by pastry wizard Amaury Guichon to announce her new gig as MAC’s Global Ambassador (with a collection dropping… on my wedding day, no less).
From there we spiral into the land of absurdly priced lipsticks—Louis Vuitton’s $160 bullet, Hermès at $81, Chanel at $50. Then we break down why perfume is so expensive—from rare raw materials like jasmine, to the artistry of perfumers, to the over-the-top packaging that sometimes costs more than the actual juice inside. We also talk wedding-day scents, which is a very tricky and difficult decision!! I know, first world problems.
