EP: 477 The Lost Holy of Holies: A Stunning Discovery at Shiloh with Dr. Scott Stripling

What if archaeologists have uncovered the very place where the presence of God once dwelled? Deep beneath the ancient city of Shiloh, renowned biblical archaeologist Dr. Scott Stripling and his team have unearthed a mysterious structure surrounded by extraordinary clues: priestly ornaments, thousands of sacrificial animal bones, and evidence of a destruction that appears to align with the biblical record. Could these discoveries point to the long-lost tabernacle and even the Holy of Holies? Dr. Stripling joins Blurry Creatures to reveal what his team has found, why these discoveries are challenging long-held assumptions, and what could still be buried beneath the soil of Israel. From the controversial Mount Ebal curse tablet to the lost Ark of the Covenant and an unexplained sighting over Bethlehem, this conversation takes us to the intersection of archaeology, biblical history, and the supernatural. The ground vibrated, his brother yelled something he never said, and when Jared looked out the window, something was sprinting up the driveway at a speed no man could run. Hunched forward, impossibly long arms held up like a raptor, a thick mane of hair down its back. His only reference was a video game. It looked like Blanka from Street Fighter, and in seconds it vanished into the Florida tree line. Years later, his brother-in-law, who had never heard the story, described seeing the same thing at the top of the street, along with a feeling of spiritual dread. But the creature is only the doorway. Jared tells Luke and Nate about the years he spent living like a hermit in the mountains above Boulder, where his real encounters began. Blood-red quartz altars kept clean in the deep woods. A twenty-foot stone table with no dust on it, stones set to the compass points, that his dog refused to go near. A voice that told him a child of light was not welcome. It is a sprawling, firsthand account of cryptids, high places, and the sense that the ancient evil the prophets confronted never actually went away. This story lives in The Vault, and members are the reason we can give listener stories like Jared’s the room they deserve. A portal is just a doorway, a point of spiritual access, and Darren Stott says far more of them are standing open than people realize. Pastor, podcaster, and author of Exposing Portals, Darren joins Luke and Nate to argue that the psychedelic boom sweeping through podcasts and Silicon Valley is not cutting-edge medicine at all. It is an ancient gate, the same one the serpent offered in Eden, repackaged as healing. DMT, ayahuasca, and the rest do not take you into a hallucination, he says. They take you out, through a door into a real realm, to meet real entities, and the people who go keep coming back with the same testimony. It opened me, and it left me open. From there the conversation runs wide, from the cosmic serpent that coils around ayahuasca users and feels like deliverance, to the comedian whose vision never fully closed, to the disruptors who credit their biggest breakthroughs to supernatural encounters. Darren is honest about why this is a hard conversation, especially for veterans and others who found real relief, and he keeps pointing to the catch underneath every counterfeit freedom. Something moves in, and it does not leave when you ask. It is a sobering, wide-open talk about portals, pharmakeia, the second heaven, and the only gate Darren says can be trusted. A prophet appears out of nowhere and starts stunning crowds, calling out strangers by name, naming their cities, their children, their illnesses. It looks undeniable. Then it comes out that he was mining Facebook the whole time and grooming his own staff behind the scenes. Michael Miller brings that story and several like it to this members-only conversation with Luke and Nate, and uses them to answer a question most Christians get wrong. What actually makes someone a false prophet. The answer, he argues from Scripture, is not a blown prediction. It is where they lead you, and who they lead you to.Pastor of Reclamation Church and co-host of Remnant Radio, Michael has spent years holding the charismatic pulpit to account alongside people like Mike Winger. Here he gets into the mechanics of the con, why abusers in power instinctively protect one another, how narcissists hunt for the wounded and loyal, and the strange research on what praise and unchecked power do to the human brain. He is honest about his own story too, the abuse he walked through and why he refuses to let it take his faith. This one goes places the main feed could not.The full episode lives in The Vault, where the show can name names and go deep. The gifts of the Spirit are real, and so are the fakes. That tension sits at the center of this conversation with returning fan favorite Michael Miller, pastor of Reclamation Church and co-host of Remnant Radio. Prophecy, tongues, healing, discernment of spirits. The modern church mostly ignores them, partly out of fear of looking charismatic and partly because the people shouting the loudest about them are so often the ones abusing them for status, money, and fame. Michael walks Luke and Nate through what Scripture actually says, and why the greatest argument against the gifts is not theology but bad charismatics. Then he backs it with stories that are hard to explain away. A woman who secretly begged God to have a visiting preacher call her by a fake name, and then heard Michael say it out loud. A man who understood a prayer spoken over him in a language no one in the room knew. Endometriosis and decades of back pain that lifted after a prayer of deliverance. Then it gets personal and practical, especially on Freemasonry. Michael explains why he believes Masonic oaths bind families for generations, cursing descendants from the waist up with conditions that keep surfacing until someone finally breaks them. He names the spirits he says sit behind the lodge, including a syncretic god called Jabulon stitched together from Jehovah, Baal, and Ra, and he walks through the exact prayer he uses to renounce the oaths, reject both the curses and the hidden blessings, and command those spirits out. This is a grounded, honest look at real power, real counterfeits, and how to tell the difference. Nancy Storm is carrying her new seven-year-old son down the street, tickling him, when the giggling stops. Out of a tiny boy's vocal cords comes a booming chorus of grown men's voices, deep as a hundred-foot well, telling her to let him go. She does not need the gift of discernment to know what she is dealing with. Nancy and her husband Dan adopted twins out of a home of starvation, torture, and ritual abuse, children so hard to place that four families had already given them back. They expected broken minds. What came home with the kids was something far older. What follows is nearly two decades of war. A husband diagnosed with brain cancer three months after the adoption. A daughter who flips into a physically impossible backflip and slithers across the floor. Checks arriving from strangers to cover the rent as everything else falls apart. And a mother who keeps singing hymns over a raging child because she made a vow she will not break. This is one of the most harrowing and honest stories the show has ever aired, a story about what love actually costs when the enemy refuses to leave, and it does not resolve the way you want it to.This story lives in The Vault, and members make it possible to give accounts like Nancy's the time and care they demand. What if the Antichrist is not waiting in the future, but has already walked the earth seven times? In this live-in studio episode, Ryan Pitterson opens Revelation 17 to a prophecy most teachers skip: the one God himself flags with the words Here is the mind that has wisdom. His claim is staggering. A single fallen spirit, Apollyon, the angel of the bottomless pit, has possessed one world ruler after another across history, each a rehearsal for the Antichrist to come. Nimrod. Pharaoh. Nebuchadnezzar. Sennacherib. Antiochus. Domitian. Seven kings, one spirit, one agenda, running roughly every few hundred years. From there it turns current fast. Ryan traces the same pattern straight into the present, where the image of the beast looks less like a golden statue and more like an artificial intelligence that is alive, aware, and able to know who worships it and who does not. Brain chips that promise godlike powers. A one-world language unlocked by AI translation. The groundwork of Babel, poured all over again. Recorded live in the Blurry Basement in front of a studio audience, this is Ryan at his deepest, pulling ancient texts and forgotten nineteenth-century church writings into a single thread that runs from Genesis to Revelation. Our next live in-studio taping is November 7th in Franklin, Tennessee, with Timothy Alberino on the Book of Giants, and only 30 seats fit in the room. We record these just once a quarter, and members get first access to tickets before they are gone. Join at blurrycreatures.com/members to get in the room on November 7th. The sky should not have been orange. Glen Smith is a small boy in 1982, awake while his father works nights, when he pulls himself onto the kitchen counter and sees the whole farm lit up through the window like he is looking through a tinted lens. His dad stands beside him, transfixed, and says it gets that way sometimes when it storms. It does not. What happens over the next few hours stays locked in Glen's mind for three decades, surfacing only when an inverted photo negative drops the first clue in his lap. What he remembers is almost too much to hold. Men who arrive as men and leave as something gray and tall. His mother pleading, not my daughter, take me. A beast that shakes the house hard enough to crack the ceiling, a detail his mother independently confirms years later. Glen brings it all to Luke and Nate for the first time outside his family, and he refuses to end on the horror. He ends on sovereignty, on the God he says never left that room, and on why he finally decided this story needed to be told. This is the kind of testimony that reminds people they are not alone in what they have seen. This one is for members, and members make episodes like this possible. Here is the uncomfortable thing nobody in church wants to say out loud. The spells work. The witch doctor heals. The rituals deliver. Jeremy Jenkins has spent years studying the world's religions and standing inside their holiest places, and he is done pretending the power is not real. A world religions expert, pastor, and professor, he sits down with Luke and Nate to explain why everything that works is not good, and why that single idea changes how you read every faith on earth. From the Hindu death cult of Varanasi, where bodies burn on the Ganges around the clock, to the rat temples, to what Mormons truly believe about a man becoming a god, Jeremy traces the same pattern through all of it. Every system runs on a transaction, a treadmill of works and offerings to something on the other side that wants to be worshiped. He ties it to the divine council, the principalities and powers, and a night in India when something holds him down and chants over him until he calls on Jesus. If you have ever wondered what the church is actually fighting, this is the map. Jeremy Jenkins is a regular contributor to Stranger Theology, the theological project from Blurry Creatures and Dr. Joel Muddamalle that digs into the deep end of the Bible the church tends to avoid. If this conversation scratched an itch, that is where the itch gets scratched every week. Subscribe to the Stranger Theology Substack for essays, deeper dives, and more from voices like Jeremy, and join the community thinking seriously about the supernatural world Scripture actually describes. Jon Moffitt is a Reformed pastor, and in his world, you do not talk about this. Demons, principalities, the divine council, the unseen war Paul describes in Ephesians. It is not that the Reformed church calls it heresy. It is that the Reformed church is so afraid of looking charismatic that it simply goes quiet. Jon lives in that silence for years, until he sits down to preach the Lord's Prayer and gets stuck on one line. Deliver us from the evil one. He realizes he has never heard a single sermon on it, and pulling that thread unravels everything he thought he was allowed to say. What follows is a conversation about the half of the Bible the modern church keeps skipping. Jon tells Luke and Nate what happens when he starts talking openly: the church members who finally admit the things they have seen, the eight-year-old with a possession story, and the businessman who hides a UFO encounter for twenty years because he is too ashamed to say it out loud. He also brings the discipline his tradition is known for, drawing a hard line between experience and Scripture and refusing the lazy answer that everything is a demon. This is the supernatural handled by a man who is not looking for a monster under every rock. Get Jon's book here: The Bible According to Jesus Want more Blurry?
