2025 Year In Review - Part 2

Danny and Jon are back to wrap up the year that was 2025. Happy new year everyone!

With help from listeners, Danny and Jon recount the musical year the was. Part one focuses on the albums that made a lasting impression on us in 2025.

We are joined by Jim McGuinn, the program director of the Philly-based radio station WXPN, to play through some incredible covers of Bruce Springsteen's "I'm On Fire". More importantly, we discuss the upcoming 885 Greatest Cover Songs countdown that launches this week on XPN, and the fascinating reason our song this week relates to their list.

Despite forming in 1995 (and having no prior releases), Me First and the Gimme Gimmes put out their first album since 1984 in the summer of 1997. That album was called Have A Ball, and it's fittingly the first in our series of Me First album reviews. We listen to their sped-up takes of 60s and 70s classics (and Uptown Girl) and find out exactly why this album is one Danny will never forget.
