It’s sophistication is surprising but it suffers a bit from a meandering plot. A satisfying conclusion rounds it all up, though. 99 reasons to like this movie and yes the dogs are one. 101 Dalmatians may have bored me as a kid, but I was missing out on the richness of its premise, the theme of banning together in times of crisis, and a downright thriller in the second half.
