Alala as he talks about his life as a biologist (he's both a marine biologist AND a herpetologist!) in this special episode of Wild Brews this October 24, 2020 at 4 pm. Not only that, you’d get to hear some mentoring advice, life lessons, eureka moments, stories from the field — all these from a national scientist! Dr. Angel Alcala was conferred with the rank of National Scientist in 2014 for his research on the ecology and diversity of reptiles and amphibians, marine biodiversity, and marine protected areas. He received the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Public Service in 1992, which acknowledged his pioneering scientific leadership in conserving and restoring coral reefs.
