Arnie & Jon discuss how mainstream political commentary keeps missing the moment. Just this week, New Hampshire's Libertarian Party posted on X: "We openly support the assassination of basically every elected Democrat in New Hampshire." This language is extreme, but it's a direct line from the daily rhetoric coming out of the federal government and rightwing officials around the country. And yet, most pundits continue to cite "political polarization" as the problem we need to solve, not officials who incite violence against their neighbors. We also chat about how racism remains both ends and means for Tech bros and the billionaire class.

We discuss the likelihood that Trump will use nuclear weapons in Iran, since there seems to be no way for him to declare victory and stop the war. Iran is a loss to the US, and Trump never wants to be perceived as a loser. Hegseth's actions at the Pentagon signal a willingness to support this.
