In this final episode of the Good Good News season, Cameron and Anna talk about one of their very topics; the glorification we will experience in heaven with Jesus. Keeping heaven in our sights while we're on this earth helps us have a wiser perspective on what matters- and what does not matter- in this life. And of course the very best thing about heaven is being with Jesus forever! For some of us, the concept of sanctification carries a sense of burden or dread, as if responsibility for change lies with us. In this episode, Cameron and Anna dive into the Scripture for reminders that our sanctification is God's job, not ours. We are sanctified through the truth, in our relationship with Jesus, by the Spirit. Perhaps the most painful consequence of the Fall lies in broken relationships with God, with each other, with ourselves, and with creation. One of the incredible benefits of the gospel is that Jesus has made reconciliation possible! In this episode, Cameron and Anna explore this here-and-now, concrete benefit of the gospel of reconciliation–a gift we can experience in our relationships even now. In this episode, Cameron and Anna discuss the riches of the doctrine of adoption. If parents can begin to grasp the reality that we are in fact God's adopted children, we can disciple our own children out of the perfect parenting of our heavenly Father, rather than the imperfect parenting of our earthly parents. Taking hold of the riches of our adoption- our status, our belonging, and our secure belovedness in God's family- all this is a true game-changer for parents who long to love their children well.  From Fear to Father: How Understanding Our Adoption Frees Parents from Anxiety by Melissa Powell Rooted In and Through Adoption by Liz Edrington 1 John 3:1 John 1:11-13 Romans 8:15-21 Follow us @therootedministry. If Christian parents can begin to live out the truth that they have the righteousness of Christ and no longer have anything to prove, they will be free to love their children even more. In this episode of the Rooted Parent podcast, Cameron and Anna unpack the doctrine of justification. Of all the glorious benefits of our salvation (Psalm 103:2), justification is one of our favorites.
