The Federal Government, through the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, has imposed a fine of N766million on Multichoice Nigeria for breaching the Nigeria Data Protection Act, citing violations of subscribers’ privacy rights and the unlawful transfer of citizens’ personal data across borders.
