Ep 3: Week 3 - The Longest Two Minutes in Sports with a Reigning Champion

Two weeks in the books, and we're already seeing some serious separation. The undefeated are getting cocky, the winless are getting desperate, and everyone else is just trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Hoop Dreams and YSYL are perfect through 2 weeks while teams like Andy Reid's FUPA and Colonel Sanders Was Offsides are staring down the barrel of an 0-3 start that could derail their entire season.

The honeymoon phase is officially over, folks. Those perfect draft grades from two weeks ago? They're looking a little shakier now. Week 1 winners are trying to prove it wasn't a fluke, while the 0-1 crowd is desperately searching for answers before panic mode sets in full swing.   Meanwhile, the waiver wire vultures are already circling, the trade rumors are heating up, and the trash talk is reaching peak midseason intensity and we're only in Week 2!   Joining me today is the man who keeps this beautiful chaos organized: Commissioner Steve Skarsten of Los Gallegos.  

After a long offseason, the official podcast of the Ohio Beta Fantasy Football League is back! Draft weekend is in the books, the teams are set, and now the real fun begins. After a brief hiatus of the official podcast of the Ohio Beta Fantasy Football League, we’re back in action with another episode.  Team owners have been busy jockeying for position within the playoff race as injuries abound and players are being activated off the IR. In many ways, this is the sink or swim week where team owners will solidify their position in the bottom 6 as they become mathematically eliminated or keep their playoff hopes alive as they race to the cut line. The playoffs are here, and we arrive to Christmas Week as this year’s Elite 6 Teams of the OBFFL have secured 2 more weeks of play for the coveted OBFFL trophy. In a “winner take all” format of most cumulative points, we’re going to see who is best prepared to sit/start their way to the Championship. Will we have our first repeat champion or will the trend continue of no repeats with one of our underdogs?   “Strange, isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives. And when he isn’t around he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he?”

We got one week left of football before the playoffs, and there are still spots up for grabs from the Magic City & Oasis Division. With injuries galore highlighting Week 14, it’s possible  that there is a league winner on the waivers. Will one of the playoff hopefully snag him, or will one of the early exit teams play spoiler?
