Weekend Review: AFCON updates, a convincing win for Chelsea, an unconvincing result for Juventus, a definitively Atletico performance from Atletico, and Graham lays down his in-stadium food laws

    1:14:08

Ryan is joined by Graham and Taylor to discuss all the biggest results from this past weekend. Up first, we go deep on the Premier League, with particular attention going to Chelsea's 2-0 win over Tottenham, which featured tactical adjustments for both teams, an incredible goal from Ziyech, and a thankless performance from Harry Kane. After that, it's a Continental Round-Up, featuring a what-could-have-been draw between Milan and Juventus, a hard-fought win for Atletico, and a non-aggression pact between Real Madrid and Barcelona. And finally, we discuss the first two knockout round AFCON games. Congrats to Tunisia and Burkina-Faso, and thanks to the latter for an opportunity to diagram some penalties! Sponsors! 1:11:40

From soccer wedding officiants to unqualified coaches, you can find the full list of questions that we answered down below: 1) The Premier League has decided to allow one amateur player per team, and we have each been selected. Which Premier League team would each of us choose to be added to in order to give us the best chance of scoring a Premier League goal?  2) What are our very specific predictions for our respective national teams in 2022? 3) What goal do we think was the goal of the year for 2021? 4) What's gone wrong for Rafa Benitez?  5) In honor is Ted Lasso, who are some of the most unqualified coaches in soccer history? 6) Which footballer, past or present, would we have wanted to officiate our weddings? AFCON Update! Strong showings from Cameroon and Nigeria, the opposite of that for Ghana and Algeria, Senegal is the new Portugal, and much much more!

    1:05:13

Ryan is joined by Graham and Taylor to discuss the latest events in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations. Group A - Cameroon tops the group in convincing (but also sort of unconvincing?) fashion Group B - Senegal still only has one goal thus far, so naturally we think there's a chance they end up winning the whole thing. Or, at least, Ryan does! Plus, big (literally) numbers for Malawi and perfect kits for Zimbabwe. Group C - Ghana in need of a rebuild, Gabon not in need of their most famous player, and Achraf Hakimi is very very good. Group D - Nigeria looking strooooong while Egypt are mostly just looking for Salah. Group E - The most delicately positioned group: all four can advance, all four can potentially crash out. But only Sierra Leone has garnered Graham's undying loyalty. Group F - Ryan ensures that someone from this group will end up as your 2022 AFCON Champions! Sponsors!
