Royce Gracie is part of the Jiujitsu legacy left by his grandfather who taught Royce’s uncles the art form in Brazil. Royce’s father, Hélio Gracie, became a Jiujitsu master and Royce started learning and competing from a young age. After Royce’s brother came to the US and started the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Royce was chosen to represent his family and Jiujitsu. He demonstrated its unique strengths on international television by beating three opponents and winning the championship. Today, Gracie Jiujitsu schools can be found almost anywhere in the world.
