This week, Drewby and Yergy head over to Westminster, Colorado to discuss the case of 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway. Jessica vanished on October 5th, 2012, while walking a short distance to meet friends for school. Her backpack, containing her glasses, was discovered two days later in a neighborhood roughly seven miles away. Her torso was found on October 10th in a park in Arvada, Colorado. Austin Sigg, then 17 years old, was identified as the killer after his mother, Mindy, called police to report his confession on October 23rd, 2012. DNA evidence later linked him to the crime. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Hanwell, West London, UK, to discuss the case of 14-year-old Alice Gross. Alice left her home on August 28th, 2014, and was last captured on CCTV at 4:26 PM walking along the Grand Union Canal towpath towards Hanwell. Her disappearance led to the largest Metropolitan Police search operation since the 7/7 London bombings, involving over 600 officers. Sadly, Alice's body was found on September 30th, hidden on the bed of the River Brent, weighted down with bricks and logs. Arnis Zalkalns, a 41-year-old Latvian builder was identified as the prime suspect after he went missing just days after Alice's disappearance. He was filmed cycling the same canal route just 15 minutes behind Alice on the day she vanished. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Switzerland to discuss the case of 38-year-old Kristina Joksimovic, a 38-year-old former model and Miss Switzerland finalist who was found dead in her home in Binningen, near Basel, in February 2024. In December 2025, her husband, Marc Rieben, was formally charged with her murder following a detailed investigation that revealed exceptionally gruesome details about the crime. An autopsy report concluded she was strangled, and forensic evidence contradicted her husband's initial claim that he acted in self-defense after she allegedly attacked him with a knife. However, authorities revealed that after the murder, Marc allegedly dismembered Kristina's body using a jigsaw, garden shears, and a knife. This week, Drewby and Yergy discuss the case of Antron Singleton, more commonly known as Big Lurch, an up-and-coming figure in the horrorcore and gangsta rap scenes. In April 2002, while under the heavy influence of PCP, Big Lurch murdered his 21-year-old roommate, Tynisha Ysais, in her apartment in Los Angeles, California. Police found Big Lurch naked and covered in blood, wandering the street, while Tynisha's body was discovered with her chest torn open and her right lung removed. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Queens, New York, to discuss the case of 3-year-old Autumn Coleman, also known as Zoey Pereira. On the night of May 5th, 2019, first responders found a burning Audi sedan near Baisley Boulevard and 155th Street in Springfield Gardens, Queens. Autumn was strapped into a car seat in the back of the vehicle. To prevent her escape or rescue, her father, Martin "Tony" Pereira, had doused the car in gasoline and chained the rear doors shut from the inside. Investigators also found propane tanks and gas canisters intended to fuel the fire. Firefighters managed to pull Autumn from the wreckage after the heat from the flames melted the door handle, allowing them to break through the chains. She was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center but died shortly after from severe burns and smoke inhalation. This week, Drewby and Yergy travel to France to discuss the case of Lola Daviet, a 12-year-old Parisian schoolgirl and gymnastics champion whose brutal murder shocked the whole country and became a focal point for intense national debate on immigration and security. On October 14th, 2022, Lola was abducted after returning from her school, Collège Georges Brassens, in the 19th Arrondissement (District) of Paris. Her body was found by a homeless man later that evening inside of a plastic storage trunk. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Oakland, California, to discuss the case of 18-year-old Nia Wilson, a beautiful young woman who had dreams of joining the military or becoming a paramedic so that she could help people. On the evening of July 22nd, 2018, Nia and her sisters, Letifah and Tashiya, were transferring trains at the MacArthur BART station in Oakland after attending a family party. Without provocation or prior interaction, 27-year-old John Lee Cowell approached them from behind and slashed Nia’s throat, also stabbing Letifah in the neck. Nia died at the scene within minutes. Letifah survived the attack with serious injuries. Tashiya was not physically harmed. John was arrested the following day at the Pleasant Hill BART station after a passenger recognized him from surveillance footage and tipped off police. During the trial, John's defense argued he was legally insane, citing a history of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
