In this film, after a drug deal goes very wrong, the son of the local city’s DA is involved, he enlists the help one detective with a bad reputation to save him from this drug war between the Asian mob and a group corrupted police officers. This film was shot and wrapped in 2021 but due to the number of reshoots that were delayed by the SAG-AFTRA strike it wasn’t released until 2025. On April 25th, 2025, the film debuted on Netflix.

Newcomers include Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan & Wendell Price. In this film, when a trio of mercenaries are sent after the same target, they realize that they’ve been betrayed and must now stick together uncover the hidden truth behind this betrayal and could possibly threaten the entire world. This film is a continuation of the “Captain America: Brave New World” storyline but also 2021’s “Black Widow” as well the spinoff series, “Hawkeye” & “The Falcon & Winter Soldier”. This also marks the end of the MCU’s Phase 5. The film hit theaters nationwide on May 2nd, 2025.

This horror film was directed by David F. Sandberg and based on the 2015 video game of the same name. The film stars Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Belmont Carmelo & Peter Stormare, who actually reprises his role from the game. In this film, a group of friends are forced to take refuge at visitors center while searching for one their lost relatives. During their stay, a mysterious man with an axe begins hunting them down and they “Until Dawn” to survive. Sony, the studio behind the movie and video game, had announced the film back in 2023 but it wouldn’t hit theaters until April 25th, 2025, a decade after the release of the game.

This horror slasher comedy was written and directed by Kyle Mooney, in his directorial debut and produced by Jonah Hill. The film stars Jaeden Martell, Rachel Zegler, Julian Denison, The Kid Laroi, Alicia Silverstone & Fred Durst. In this film, on New Years Eve 1999, a group of teenagers are attending a house party to celebrate but things take a dark turn when the technology turns on them and attacks and kills everyone who they see as a threat. This film debuted at South By Southwest Film Festival in March of 2024, then hit theaters nationwide on December 6th, 2024 before landing on HBO Max in April of 2025.

The final chapter in George Lucas’ prequel trilogy retuned to theaters 20 years after its original 2005 release. The film was written and directed by George Lucas and sees Ewan MacGregor, Hayden Christianson, Natalie Portman, Frank Oz, Christopher Lee, Ian McDiarmid & Samuel L. Jackson all return to their respective roles. This was the 6th film in the “Star Wars” series and the third film in the prequel trilogy. This also marked the last film to be made by George Lucas before he sold the “Star Wars” brand and LucasFilm to Disney in 2012.

This supernatural thriller was written by David Koepp and directed by Steven Soderbergh & stars Chris Sullivan & Lucy Liu. In this film, when a family moves into a new home, the daughter slowly begins to feel a certain sense in the house that can be described as supernatural but not dark. This film originally debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January of 2024 but didn’t hit theaters in the U.S. until January of 2025.

This film was written and directed by Drew Hancock and produced by the same team that brought us 2022’s “Barbarian”. The film stars Sophie Thatcher, Jack Quaid, Lukas Gage, Megan Suri, Harvey Guillen & Rupert Friend. In this film, a couple are joining a group of friends at a isolated lake house but things take a dark turn when it’s revealed that the woman is actually an android and has committed a crime against them. The film hit theaters on January 31st, 2025 before landing on HBO Max in April.

The second and final season in the latest “Star Wars” series premiered on Disney+ on April 22nd, 2025. The series sees Diego Luna returns to the character role and joined by Stellan Skarsdard, Adria Arjona, Elizabeth Dulau & Denise Gough, who return from the previous season.
