Welcome to the new video show "On The Road" where we ehad out to talk live to artists at the venues either pre or post show Welcome back to "On The Road" from "The Classic Rock Podcast" and today we caught up with the fabulous Samantha Fish who is currently out on the "Bulletproof Tour" and during the conversation, we looked back at this extraordinary last 10 years the return to performing as "Samantha Fish" after the hugely successful collaboration with Jesse Deyton on "Death Wish Blues" We looked ahead to the new album which is all but complete and relive some memorable live performances including the one where the band all dressed as a hair metal band and performed Van Halen covers on a Halloween show and Samantha also reveals that her family's roots are actually based in the UK in Yorkshire.

Welcome back to the new video edition of the show and joining me is the last remaining original member of the classic prog rock / rock band Nektar.Formed in Germany in 1969, Nektar favored extended compositions and concept albums over the constraints of pop. They were among the progenitors of the progressive rock movement of the 1970s as well as the jam-band scene that arose in the late 1990s. Their sound traveled well to the States, where they enjoyed Top 40 success with “A Tab in the Ocean” (1972) and “Remember the Future” (1973). Nearly 20 albums later, the band’s artistic and personal charisma has earned them masses of devoted fans along with their album “The Other Side” (2020) which was Number 1 on Amazon Progressive Music. For over half a century, Nektar has been the guiding star for countless fans, leading them on mesmerizing expeditions through the vast expanses of the cosmos and the depths of the ocean. With their unique fusion of progressive rock and stunning visuals, these trailblazing prog-rock legends have ignited the imaginations of generations.Now Nektar is broadening their horizons with the first in the Mission to Mars trilogy. In this video edition one of the great singer songwriter, guitarist and performers out there today Richie Kotzen returns with his best new album to date "Nomad" is released this week. Richie joins us on the show to talk about his career from the early days breaking through in the late 80's his move to LA where he experienced first hand life on the strip mixing with legends and playing with others . From the first breakthrough record deal to joining Poison and onward with a successful solo career indispersed with stints with Mr Big, The Winery Dogs and Smith Kotzen. Richie talks candidly and with humour about his life and looks ahead to the future and the release of "Nomad"

This year he is back with Cactus and "Temple of Blues" a mammoth collaborative project that includes Joe Bonamassa , Pat Travers, Ted Nugent , Doug Aldrich, Rudy Sarzo, Billy Sheehan, Steve Stevens. Carmine joins me from home in NYC we look at the origins of the band , working with Jeff Beck and Rod Stewert lots of great stories and anecdotes from Carmine's 7 decades in the business.
