With a producer career that spans almost a decade, Pedro Capelossi has quickly emerged from Spain’s avant-garde electronic music landscape. Born in Brazil, naturalized in Spain, and currently based in Valencia, Pedro has forged a distinctive sound focused on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula. In 2023, he founded his own musical imprint, Refraction Records, a platform that brings together forward-thinking visual artists, designers, and musicians. Blurring the boundaries between house, techno, and their closely related derivatives, the label operates with a deep understanding of the principles established by electronic music’s most influential innovators. Pedro’s work has found a natural home on Pablo Bolívar’s Seven Villas, serving as a primary outlet for his expansive sound. Further releases on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden, Madloch’s Sound Avenue, and specialized imprints such as ARTS, Hoomidas Records, TOR (When We Dip), and Loot Recordings further underline the breadth of his catalogue. Over the years, his productions have received support from respected figures including Laurent Garnier, Andrey Pushkarev, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, Pablo Bolívar, Armen Miran, among many others. As a DJ for over a decade, Pedro built a strong presence in his former hometown of Barcelona, performing at renowned clubs and events such as Pacha, NOM Barcelona, Café del Mar, City Hall, Macarena, and Valhalla, sharing the booth with artists like Sébastien Léger, Eelke Kleijn, Cid Inc, and Fur Coat. Back in his home city of São Paulo, he played a key role in shaping the local nightlife through projects like UNIK ID, hosting international artists such as Nick Warren and Cid Inc, as well as the PROGRESSION series at one of Brazil’s most iconic clubs, D.EDGE, supporting world-class guest artists throughout the year. Pedro’s DJ sets are rooted in underground electronic music, with a strong focus on dub house, dub techno, deep house, minimal, and downtempo. His ability to move fluidly between styles allows him to adapt seamlessly to intimate club settings as well as large-scale festival environments.
