With Mother’s Day around the corner we thought it would be fun to bring back one of your favourite episodes with Spencer and her mom Robyn Barbosa. Spencer is a vibrant, resilient and inspirational young woman that our daughters (and many other young girls!) look up to. This week, we discussed our summer hopes and plans. As our kids are getting older, they aren't as carefree. They need to be entertained, and that responsibility falls on us. Unfortunately, it's a situation we created because we are so darn fun to hang out with. But, when one of our kids came to us and said they wanted to go to camp, it triggered some anxiety. Here's the problem with parenting: you never know how badly you've messed up until it's too late. We have great kids, but we can only say "for now." We aren't seeing any red flags, "for now". We've talked to so many people who had teenagers on one trajectory in the early years, only to see it change dramatically. So the verdict is still out when you have seven kids between us. Life has been life'ing a little over here so we are throwing it back with a repeat episode of one of your favourites. We met with the incredibly inspiring Julie of @spilledmilkmamma who has unwillingly been on a journey of grief this past year. Just four weeks after giving birth to her second child, Julie's husband Charles went on a business trip and never returned. He was killed in a car accident. Julie shares the raw and honest reality of what grief looks like while having to show up for a toddler and newborn.
