Dodgers were shutout until the 9th when Gavin Lux knocked it 2 as they only managed 4 hits on the night. Tyler Glasnow gave up a leadoff homerun part of a 2 run first for the Reds. He would settle down a bit  striking out 8 but in the end suffers the loss surrendering 4 runs on 6 hits.

Of course, the bullpen game ended up not really being a bullpen game, and the pitching was the best part of the game for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who lost the series finale, 4-1. Elieser Hernandez and Eduardo Salazar took down all eight innings on the mound, allowing just four runs, but the offense never got it going. Dodgers struggled to to find any rhythm against Logan Webb who went 6 for the win. 6 of the 7 Dodgers hits came from the to 3 in  the line-up Betts Ohtani and Freeman. Elieser Hernandez just called up today got the start and went 6 allowing 3 runs on 4 hits.  Teoscar Hernandez had a home run robbed from  him as Luis Matos went over the fence to bring it back. 

Shohei Ohtani had three hits and his Los Angeles Dodgers teammates added 10 more as LA beat the Giants, 10-2. Ohtani was a triple shy of the cycle, and Mookie Betts, Gavin Lux, and Teoscar Hernandez DID hit triples. Overall, LA had nine extra-base hits. On the mound, Gavin Stone allowed one run in six innings, his fourth straight outstanding start. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was able to avoid his high-leverage relievers, which should help set up for Wednesday's bullpen (or bullpen-ish) game. The Dodgers broke it open in the 4th with 4 runs which included  Shohei Ohtani's 12th home run a 446 ft blast. The Dodgers also had 3 triples one each for Mookie Betts, Gavin Lux and Teoscar Hernandez. Gavin Stone got the win going 6 allowing 1 run on 5 hits. They put another 4 spot in the 9th. Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernandez finished the night with 3 hits including 2 extra base hits. 

The Los Angeles Dodgers rode some clutch hitting and stellar relief pitching to beat the Giants, 6-4, in 10 innings. Four Dodgers (Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, Will Smith, and Gavin Lux) had two hits and at least one RBI each, plus a key pinch-hit homer for Kiké Hernandez, and the bullpen threw 4.1 scoreless innings to finish it off. Will Smith broke an 0-21 slump with 2 hits including the game winner in the 10th. Mookie Betts also had 2 hits including a lead off home run his 7th Kike Hernandez hit his 2nd Homer of the season a game tying pinch hit home run in the 7th. Shohei Ohtani  also had 2 hits in his return to the lineup. Yoshinobu Yamamoto went 5 2/3 giving up 4 runs on 5 hits and 6k's coming away with no decision.

The Dodgers dropped two of three to the Padres over the weekend, and scored just six runs total. Mookie Betts hasn't had power in a month, and Will Smith has cooled off a bit after a hot start. Is there reason to be worried? Starting pitching was generally solid with Tyler Glasnow and James Paxton allowing just one combined run, but Walker Buehler struggled on Sunday. Should there be concern about Buehler at the moment, or does he need more time? Lastly, Shohei Ohtani sat on Sunday after a back issue from Saturday night.
