Class Format: During our Thursday night sessions, Joe leads participants through a dynamic blend of guided meditations, mindfulness exercises, and contemplative reflections. Each class begins with a 30-minute talk by Joe, offering insights on mindfulness and personal growth, followed by a 30-minute guided meditation. About Joe Clements: Joe's journey into mindfulness is deeply rooted in personal experiences and a commitment to supporting others on the path of recovery. Introduced to mindfulness meditation in the mid-1990s by friends associated with Dharma Punx and Against The Stream Meditation Society, Joseph initially pursued music, touring with a popular punk band. However, as struggles with addiction emerged, Joe turned to mindfulness for inner peace and healing. Embracing the simple teachings of "sit, feel, heal," Joe embarked on a journey of recovery, dedicated to helping others navigate similar paths. He has since pursued extensive training in mindfulness facilitation and emotional intelligence, including Mindfulness Meditation Group Facilitation with Joanna Hardy and Vinny Ferraro. As I practice today at my favorite spot next to the ocean, i am reminded of this simplistic yet difficult practice of finding peace within myself. Finding peace can sometimes feel unattainable. It can feel like a constant battle to get access to that place of peace. The truth I know and must return to over and over is that place of peace is right here, right now within every moment. I just need to take a little time and check in. My heart will guide me if I listen.I hope you take this as a gentle reminder to take a little time, check in and listen.- Joe
