Congress mandated changes in an attempt to simplify the FAFSA form. However, it was launched months later than usual, and glitches and technical delays have plagued the form’s rollout for millions of students who are up against a May 1 deadline.

Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania joins CBS Mornings just over one year after seeking treatment for depression at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Fetterman, who suffered a stroke in May 2022, used a closed captioning device and a stenographer as he addressed the Israel-Hamas war and the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

Missy Testerman, National Teacher of the Year winner, is an elementary teacher in Rogersville, Tennessee. She has been a teacher for over 30 years and is also currently an English as a second language program director. First Lady Jill Biden surprises Testerman, the National Teacher of the Year winner.

Asher Grodman, who stars in the CBS show “Ghosts,” talks about the show. Grodman plays Trevor. He’s just one of the ghosts who resides at the Woodstone Mansion, which has been turned into a bed and breakfast by the owners, Sam and Jay.

Bailey Zimmerman will perform at the CMT Music Awards on Sunday. Zimmerman, who is nominated for an award, took a nontraditional path to breaking into the music business.
