And Better 'ask dorothy' The WISDOM podcast  Season 5 Episode 7   💜 In a long term love relationship, we ride the waves of personal growth to evolve what was into something far greater.   When couples talk about the diminished or nonexistent sexual life and if you and your partner are committed to improving healing the love relationship and you both are highly compatible and in love - you likely need to first address the basics.   Fundamental to nurturing love and the desire for sex is kindness consideration care loving actions - because sex is an act of love in a healthy monogamous relationship. It is a sharing of your physical self in an intimate way with another expression of love and tenderness.   How you are with your partner in the day to day moments of your life translates into your sexual life for desire to share of yourself - to give of yourself sexually must be built upon a foundations of expression love in all of the other ways you relate and respond with your partner.   Sex is a privilege. What Is Meditation? The WISDOM podcast  Season 4  Bonus Episode 1   💜 The practice is to quiet one's thinking and to exist in a space of pure awareness, presence, attending to each moment.   We need meditation to show us how to create space within our typically busy mind, for being present and as a practice that leads us within; to attune to the openness and quiet that exists as a deeper aspect of our being. Meditation allows us to soften our mind, to evoke a state of inner kindness that becomes a state of being in which to live from. Meditation teaches the practice of knowing the self. In your practice you gain greater understanding in who you are, to hold the space for truth, knowledge of what is "right" and "best" for you in any given moment, to experience calmness and tranquility and the opportunity to live present - to experience each moment as it is before you. All of these things teach you so much about yourself. You will experience the cumulative effect of your meditation practice. It is beautiful.  It is sacred.   A Mother's Inspirational Message 'ask dorothy' The WISDOM podcast  Season 4  Episode 118   💜 The healing is symbolic. It is also reflective of your future relationship. ~   In Today's Episode: My client and her mother are not so different from other mothers and daughters. As I sit before both of them I feel hopeful. A daughter willing to enter into therapy to work on gaining closeness and understanding with her mother and to overcome the hurt of comments and past wounds that she has carried largely in silence. A mother, not aware her daughter has been carrying shame and self-loathing, and being misunderstood by the same gender parent who is supposed to love you without question. It's likely that my client's mother has also carried the self-effacing weight of shame and self-loathing herself. Stacey's mother has joined her in this session, willing to be part of a process that she has little knowledge of and certainly no idea of where it will lead. What makes my clients' story so interesting is the level of commitment that each woman brings to the therapy session that highlights the value they place on one another – on being a family, on improving the way in which they communicate so that words are not spoken without consideration of the other and with the ultimate hope of healing the past so that there can be a new way to experience this relationship and each another – in a way that they can both trust in.   *Both client names have been changed to maintain confidentiality. ~ If you would like my help for your changing relationship with your Mother, please reach out to me.
